(Please note. These descriptions were as of 12/01. They are subject to change by the new Outreach Leadership.) 1. If there is a conflict with a church activity and Outreach activity, you are free to give the church activity priority. 2. Outreach members are expected to participate in at least one outreach or be on standby to provide rides for shelter members to the church, or anyone else that we minister to that may need a ride to church 3. Outreach members that can’t carry out no. 2. are expected to be available either for following up over the telephone or participating in a new outreach. 4. Outreach members are expected to follow-up on anyone they lead to salvation in the course of an outreach activity. Preferably men with men, women with women. 5. An Outreach member should stay in contact with his or her’s coordinator for the particular outreach they are a part of. 6. If you have a problem, take it to the Coordinator first. If it can’t be resolved, then bring it before me. 7. Outreach members are expected at the Outreach meetings unless you notify your Coordinator or myself that you will not be able to attend 8. Duties for members helping with Women’s Shelter: (a) Be at the Women’s Shelter between 10 am and 11 am. (b) If assigned food, bring it already cooked (c) If can’t be at the shelter, drop food off with someone else (d) If have to cook food, come at least by 10:00 am. (e) Follow the menu plan (f) May be called on to help with the children during the services (g) A members is expected to either help in the kitchen, help with praise and worship, and/or minister to the women individually after the Word goes forth (h) For members who live near the shelter, you may be called on to give rides to the church for shelter residents (i) Outreach members may be called on to contribute a few dollars in the event that there is not enough food for lunch for the residents (can be reimbursed by the church) (j) If you won’t be able to come, call and let your Coordinator know (k) Show love and compassion to the residents 9. Duties for Cheltenham (a) If you are participating with this Outreach, give your phone number to the Coordinator for this Outreach (b) If you can’t make the outreach, call your Coordinator and let him know a few days in advance (c) At Cheltenham, you can just observe and not speak if you want to. (d) If you haven’t filled out a form, see me (e) Meet at the Cheltenham parking lot on 4th Thursdays of the month at 7:15 pm. The building we minister to is IMPACT, located on the outside of the fences. (f) Show love and compassion 10. Duties for the Nursing Home (a) Contact you Coordinator if you are not going to be able to come (b) Meet at the Nursing Home at about 10:00 am. (c) Be able to minister one on one to the residents if necessary (d) Show love and compassion |
