Duties of Outreach Leaders
(Please note. These descriptions were as of 12/01. They are subject to change by
the new Outreach Leadership.)
- Women’s Shelter Overall Coordinator - Coordinates the Kitchen/Food Coordinator, Menu Planner so that food will be brought to, prepared and served to the residents in an efficient manner at the women’s shelter. Makes sure that the Children’s Ministry Leaders minister to the children at the appropriate time. Deals with any other issues that do not relate directly to the kitchen and food or the ministering of the word at the women’s shelter. Coordinates making contact with members of the outreach for the services with the Outreach Administrator or can do it himself. Coordinates any special events
at the shelter such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, cookouts, etc.
- Kitchen, Food Coordinator - Coordinates preparation and serving of food for residents. Also coordinates deaconess when they help with the food for the residents.
- Menu Planning - Plans menu on monthly basis for the shelter. Assigns people certain food items to bring and makes sure there will be enough food in event someone is not able to bring their particular item.
- Children’s Ministry- Takes children in separate room to minister to them during time the women are ministered to. Brings children back down for their lunch.
- Women’s Ministry- Will be responsible for
coordinating more participation of women in ministering to the residents
by their testimony, song, teaching, etc.
- Outreach Administrator- Coordinates contacting
people by phone or word of mouth, etc. on outreach services, acitivities and
cancellations. Responsible for keeping Outreach announcements updated in the
church bulletin. Coordinates with the Women’s shelter Coordinator, menu
planner, kitchen coordinator etc. when necessary. Makes sure that the outreach
ministry has a sufficient supply of bibles and tracts. Handles any type of
correspondence for the outreach ministry. Makes members aware of any
schedule conflicts between church activities and outreach activities.
Coordinates special events at any of the outreach services. Responsible for
putting in special notices or announcements in the church bulletin for the
outreach.
- Newsletter Coordinator- Responsible for
publishing outreach newsletter.
- Boys Village Coordinator- Coordinates with
Mr. Van Jones when going to Boys Village. Will make sure at least two people
will go every 2nd Tuesday of the month.
- St. Moore’s Nursing Home Coordinator- Coordinates the
ministry in the Nursing Home.
- Men’s Shelter Coordinator- Coordinates activities in
Men’s Shelter.
- Youth Outreach Coordinator-Responsible for getting
more church youth involved in outreach.
